26.02.2018 SO/ Sofitel Saint Petersburg was opened instead of W St. Petersburg

On February 2018, the W St. Petersburg hotel on Voznesensky avenue came under the control of AccorHotels and changed its name to SO/ Sofitel Saint Petersburg.

SO/ Sofitel St. Petersburg is the first luxury hotel of SO/ Sofitel brand in Russia. Designed by Antonio Citterio, this hotel offers famous views of St. Isaac's Cathedral, the new concept of Just Say So service and SO parties on the summer terrace. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a Cococo restaurant by Sergey and Matilda Shnurov.

SO/ Sofitel is a hotel chain with a peculiar concept filled with local energy. SO/ Sofitel hotels combine French elegance with a dynamic local touch. The hotel in St. Petersburg will be the fifth in the SO/Sofitel family and will complement the collection of boutique hotels located in Mauritius, Bangkok, Singapore and Hua Hin (Thailand).
